Our Story

Savira Institute exists because the role of the Personal Assistant and Executive Assistant has changed, and the way professionals are supported to develop has not.

Today’s assistants operate with trust, judgement and visibility. They manage complexity, sensitive relationships and digital systems that sit close to leadership.

Yet professional development in this space has too often remained fragmented, generic or transactional.

Savira Institute exists to provide professional standards, community and recognition for the business support professionals of today and tomorrow.

Our Intention

Savira Institute was founded by Chris Hodson, whose work over many years has focused on helping people and organisations adapt to change through skills, confidence and thoughtful development.

Having worked closely with Personal Assistants, Executive Assistants and senior leaders, Chris saw a clear gap between the importance of these roles and the seriousness with which they are often developed.

Savira reflects a deliberate choice to raise the bar.

The Institute has been designed with restraint. Growth is intentional. Membership is curated. Programmes are structured to respect the experience and time pressures of working professionals.

This approach is not accidental. It reflects a belief that trust, reputation and professional identity are built slowly, and are easily diluted if standards are not protected

Something Different.

Our approach builds on a long tradition of professional development for business support roles, reinterpreted for the realities of today’s workplace.

From the introduction of shorthand and structured office training in the nineteenth century, through to modern administrative and executive support education, the profession has always advanced through clarity of standards and disciplined skill development.

Savira brings together structured learning, professional community and clear progression pathways.

It supports assistants who want to move beyond task-based support into trusted partnership, influence and career resilience.

The Institute has been designed deliberately and with restraint. Membership is curated. Programmes are structured. Growth is intentional.

These choices reflect a belief that trust and professional standing are built over time, and easily diluted when standards are compromised.
